#5, San Luis Obispo de Tolosa

Founded September 1, 1772
by Father Junipero Serra.
San Luis Obispo.

Personal Observations

We visited this mission for the first time on April 3, 2004. Mission San Luis Obispo is another mission in the heart of a city. Like other similarly located missions, it is not large, but is a vital active parish. One Sunday I was fortunate to watch the ringing of the bells from the bell tower.
